CHANGE UR PARADE VIDEO
I posted on "change ur parade" about a month ago and the video is finally out. Im soo happy its a good video because I really like the song. I held my breath throughout my first watch in hope that there would be no mediocre party scene and I have just acquired new found respect for Lynxx for not torturing us.
It is a well produced video, the storyline is a bit of an obvious choice but anything is better than a cheap, tacky, greasy party scene in my opinion. I personally think his cretive director may have got some tips from Kanye West. What are your opinions on this video??
Ajogu Idachaba at Terra Kulture
Ajogu Idachaba recently had an exhibition at Terra Kulture, which ended on thursday last week. He is a Nigerian-Born American-Based seasoned artist and in his works, although his Nigerian roots are evident, his influences appear to differ from the current trend of yellow buses, rooftops and market scenes which we have been seeing from Nigerian artists. In this sense his exhibition was somewhat a breath of fresh air.
The three words that come to mind from his exhibition are BOLD.FLUID.ABSTRACT.
I got pictures of some of the paintings I liked but my favourite is the first one, which is called "the process" (referring to pregnancy). What do u think of his paintings??

MUSIC TO LOOK OUT FOR- MR ENDOWED BY D'BANJ
D'banj has just released his first track, Mr Endowed from his new album which is supposedly also called 'Mr Endowed'. I particularly love his pun on the word "Endowed" and the beat, which is very bubbly and buoyant in Don Jazzy's usual style. I've come to the conclusion that it is impossible for mo' hits to disappoint. What do you think. Summer Hit or Not??
PIECE A WEEK
I've got a backlog of pieces from my "piece a week" series so I'd upload all the pics of things I've done in the 2 weeks. Im not too happy with the pieces. I feel I succumbed too much to what people wanted as opposed to giving them a piece of me but its okay because they were happy. I guess thats what matters. The pieces include 2 maxi dresses and one formal dress which is actually an aso-ebi. Enjoy.

MUSIC TO LOOK OUT FOR- GOLDIE FT ELDEE (YOU KNOW IT)
This is a jam to watch out for. The first time i heard it, it didnt actually jump at me. I thought it was too autotuned and timbaland-ish but its relly grown on me. Cant wait for it to be released as a single. Nice one Eldee. By the way I am not too sure about Goldie's looks but we can easily block that out for now.

IN HONOUR OF POETRY...
This is a poem written by a good friend of mine, Michael Dimude. Enjoy...
The power of choice
It’s ok for your life to shatter right before your very eyes
It’s ok if your heart is broken into a million pieces
It’s ok to reach for success and not be able to touch it
It’s alright to be afraid when you find yourself alone in the dark
For somewhere there is a clue to help you put your life back together
For someone can be that glue that makes your heart whole again
For it’s true that hard-work always pays off
For some are more afraid of the hue that comes with the light of day
For these reasons I know no dissatisfaction
For these reasons I know no trepidation
For these reasons I cling not unto history
For these reasons I long for tomorrow’s story
Not because of ego, my ideals or my spirituality
Not because of the rules that dictate society
Certainly not because I possess a child’s naivety
I believe everything happens along with its motivation
My belief is in the relativity in every perception
The consequence of every phenomenon is what we make of it
I am but a man with no control, but with power over my destiny
My power is choice and choice...
Choice is my destiny

A PIECE A WEEK
Im sorry I've been away so long. My internet has been down and now my laptop is acting up. In short I've been experiencing numerous technical difficulties. (Oh and pardon me if the letters "a" nd "z" seem to be missing)
Anywy this is my piece from last week. They are harem pants made from voile fabric with an extension at the bottom which can be tied into a twee bow at the ankle or higher up. It was good wear. Hope you like. Look out for this weeks "piece a week" which is a top.
